Former Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis was having a pretty great offseason in preparation for the NBA Draft this month until suffering a pretty "significant hip injury" according to NBA Insider Steve Kyler. This could force Ulis to slide some draft boards after making great progress and proving to teams that his size wasn't as big a concern as they believed.

"Kentucky guard Tyler Ulis is said to have a pretty significant hip issue, which some believe may require surgery down the line. A medical red flag combined with his size, Ulis could slide deep into the first round or even over into the second depending on how team medical staffs view his situation."
The 5'10" playmaker had been projected anywhere from a mid-first round selection to early second round pick. He may very well slide into the second round now, but that would just make him a steal for anyone who takes the chance on him. As a sophomore, Ulis averaged 17.3 points and 7.0 assists per game last season and played some stellar defense on his way to winning the Bob Cousy Award and a first-team All-American spot.
