Report: Westbrook is definitely 'ticked off' and that's good for the fans

Here comes triple-double Russ!

Most people would be pretty ticked off if their long time business partner just decided to up and leave for greener pastures even though those two had good times together. That's pretty much what happened when Kevin Durant decided to sign with the Golden State Warriors despite all the success he and Russell Westbrook had together in their eight seasons together.

Durant admitted that his decision likely changed his relationship with Westbrook forever and not likely for the better. Westbrook is going to come out and be able to become the face of this franchise —- at least for the year he might be there —- and potentially win his own MVP award. Durant's departure has reportedly lit a fire in Russ and "he's ready" for the challenge of playing without an MVP on his team.

While there's been talk of Westbrook getting traded so that OKC doesn't lose two superstars for nothing in two seasons, he's still going to come out guns blazing wherever he ends up to start the season. He averaged 23.5 points, two steals, 10.4 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game last season. It's not unreasonable to think that all those numbers will go up if he's trying to prove to everyone that he can lead a team to the playoffs and do it on his own.

Just be on the lookout for one angry Russell Westbrook out for revenge and he's going to be taking it out on every team all year.
