Richard Sherman got away with absolutely crushing the opposing kicker

What the heck just happened?

Some wackiness occurred at the end of the first half Monday night between the Seahawks and Bills, resulting in Buffalo's kicker Dan Carpenter get absolutely crushed.

Richard Sherman was offsides, and as Carpenter went to follow through with a practice kick after the whistle blew, the Seattle defensive back took out the kicker's leg.

Officials ruled since the whistle blew before the play that Sherman couldn't be penalized other than for being offsides and since trainers came onto the field that Carpenter had to come off the field for a play.

The Bills spiked the ball, brought Carpenter back onto the field and they received a delay of game as the kicker took too long to get the play off. He then missed a 54-yard attempt to close the half.
