Robert Griffin III's place on the Browns depth chart appears to be set

Robert Griffin III's comeback is in full swing.

Following three up-and-down seasons with the Washington Redskins, Robert Griffin III got his release and a fresh start with the Cleveland Browns.

Now under head coach Hue Jackson, it appears RGIII's new start won't be a growing situation, as the quarterback is expected to get "four out of every five reps with the first-string offense at Browns camp," per Browns reporter Tony Grossi, via Pro Football Talk.

Griffin is expected to snag the lion's share of the reps as the incumbent starter, with Josh McCown serving as No. 2, followed by rookie Cody Kessler and Austin Davis.

Griffin III won nine games as a rookie, leading Washington to a playoff berth after throwing for 3,200 yards, 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He also rushed for over 800 yards and seven touchdowns before tearing his ACL.

Never quite fully healthy and facing an uphill battle against Kirk Cousins for the starting gig in Washington, Griffin III never quite bounced back, tossing for over 4,800 yards, 20 touchdowns and 18 interceptions, while going 5-15 as a starter over the last two seasons.

He didn't take a snap in 2015 other than getting brutalized in the preseason, and now it appears he'll have every chance to be the team's franchise leader.
