Rumor: One big man would like to be traded to join forces with Anthony Davis

That would be a pretty unlikely duo.

The Milwaukee Bucks are doing anything and everything in their power to trade big man Greg Monroe as he no longer fits in the system they're trying to implement with all the big men they've acquired. They have Miles Plumlee, Thon Maker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, John Henson and Mirza Teletovic on the roster right now, making Monroe pretty expendable.

Monroe has said in the past that he wouldn't mind a trade and the New Orleans Pelicans have asked about him before. It seems that he would want to go there as well ESPN's Marc Stein said on the Lowe Post podcast. One reason might be because that's his hometown and he would like to team up with young powerhouse Anthony Davis.

The Pelicans would need an overhaul of the roster to make this work as well since they already have Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca as traditional bigs. While Monroe chipped in 15.3 points and 8.8 rebounds a game last season, he is a complete defensive liability and would be a $17 million rental for a team as he would likely opt out of his option at the end of the 2016-17 season.

Meanwhile, the Bucks have been getting absolute garbage offers for Monroe and nothing worth moving on for a trade. The Bucks would surely love to get rid of him before the season at the earliest, but look for them to be movers at the December signing deadline and the February trade deadline this season.
