Saban responds to Heisman talk surrounding surprising Bama player not named Hurts

If you are one to pay attention to all of those weekly lists that sports media likes to put out every week you may have noticed a surprising name surface on quite a view top-5 Heisman lists. While many have begun to rumble that Jalen Hurts desires consideration, a different Alabama player has jumped up into the mix in a surprise that has nothing to do with ability and everything to do with position, defensive lineman Jonathan Allen.

Tuesday in is only press conference of the bye week Alabama coach Nick Saban addressed the new found Heisman attention for his defensive lineman.

Realistically Allen has an extremely slim chance of winning the Heisman, but he could find a way to New York, especially if the Bama defense remains as dominate as it's been all season. If Allen turns out more performances similar to the one he tallied Saturday against Texas A&M and the Tide keep winning it could be hard to keep a member of the undefeated number one team in the nation from New York.
