Son of four-time Pro Bowler says one school has 'big lead' in his recruitment

It sounds pretty solid on his end.

Asante Samuel Jr. has been making a name for himself this offseason as his recruiting cycle has just started heating up. While he definitely won't be following in his dad's footsteps of going to UCF, it looks like he will be staying in the state with Miami and Florida State being named two of his leaders recently.

He just took a visit to Tallahassee this weekend for Junior Day and came away incredibly impressed as he told 247Sports. There seemed to be nothing that disappointed and he sounds like he'll be back fairly soon.

"It was better than I thought," Samuel Jr. said. "Everybody is just nice and friendly. It is really a family. I learned that the coaches are real and that they just keep it real with you," Samuel Jr. added. "It is a family."

He also thought about committing, but decided he should probably wait for another visit that would feature a pretty important person in his life.

"I considered it, but I have to wait until my mom comes up with me," Samuel Jr. said.

The 5'9", 172-pound cornerback made it pretty clear that he's ready to commit soon and that there is a huge leader in the race for him right now.

"It is a big lead," Samuel Jr. said. "That is my dream school since I was a kid. I just love everything about it, the coaches and the people that go to FSU."

Miami is also in the mix for the four-star CB out of Fort Lauderdale, but the 247 crystal ball has an overwhelming amount of predictions saying FSU will have yet another star CB on the roster soon.
