Speedy four-star WR KD Nixon has decommitted from Tennessee

Tennessee loses one of their top recruits.

One of 2017's highest-rated speedsters is officially back on the recruiting board.

Two months after announcing his commitment, four-star wide receiver KD Nixon (5-foot-8, 182 pounds, DeSoto, TX) tweeted on Sunday that he had decommitted from Tennessee and had reopened his recruitment. Nixon later deleted the tweet, but Scout reports that Nixon has stuck with the decision.

Nixon was one of Tennessee's highest rated recruits for the 2017 class.

As for where Nixon could go next? Expect new offers to pour in with him back on the market, but Ohio State could have the inside edge for the speedy wideout. The Buckeyes are one of Nixon's top current offers, and 247Sports currently lists them as next in line after Tennessee.

Nixon gave no timetable for when he would announce a new commitment.
