A third McMurray University football player has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting that occured in Ft. Worth on Jan. 11.
Per KBTX, McMurray starting quarterback Broderick Ross, 18, has been arrested and charged with charge of capital murder by terror threat, joining teammates Ryan McBeth and Dontrell Dock with murder charges in connection to the case.
All three players are no longer listed as members of the team.
Both McBeth and Dock were arrested earlier in the week on their charges, and placed under a $250,000 bond. Under the Texas penal code, the players are potentially facing the death penalty if convicted in the case.
The incident in which the players are charge involves the Jan. 11 shooting of Chris-Dion Russell in Ft. Worth. Dion-Russell was taken to the hospital after the shooting, where he was later pronounced dead from his wounds.
