With the kickoff of the 2016 season ten days away and a matchup with Southern Cal looming on the horizon, it's time to get hyped for Alabama football. So for a little throwback Thursday we're taking a look back on perhaps the biggest onside kick in the history of Alabama football with help from ESPN's 'Sport Science'.
This play is easily one of the top ten greatest special teams moments in Alabama history, ranking right up there with Van Tiffin's kick and Mt. Cody's block. What made the play truly special however is the impact it will forever have on the legacy of Tide kicker Adam Griffith. Instead of the infamous 'kick six' being the lasting memory of Griffith's time in Tuscaloosa Alabama fans will surely first think of that incredible onside kick before anything else.
