Tennessee DC takes shot at refs after 39 point loss

Nobody likes a crybaby and while Tennessee defensive coordinator Bob Shoop will tell you he was just joking around, there's always a little truth in our humor.

"I hear they honor officials of the week in Alabama, too," Shoop told the Knoxville QB Club, per Grant Ramey of the Knoxville News-Sentinel. "They were the guys that called our game on Saturday."

There weren't very many flags thrown in Alabama's 49-10 win over Tennessee with Alabama being flagged five times for 38 yards, with the Vols being penalized once for 10 yards. There were also several 50/50 balls that the Vols believe should have been flagged as pass interference against Alabama. Alas it's hard to blame a 39-point loss on the officials, but in Tennessee they sure are going to try.
