Texans player suffered one of the most painful injuries you can imagine

Houston Texans' right tackle Derek Newton tore both patella tendons during Monday night's 27-9 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Newton was attempting to block for quarterback Brock Osweiler on a passing play when both of his legs buckled.

Newton left the game with both legs in air casts.

As you might expect from such a terrible injury, the recovery looks like it will be slow and lengthy.

Newton is in his sixth season with the Texans. He signed a five-year, $26.5 million contract with the team prior to the 2015 season.
