The day after Bielema talks down arrests, a former Arkansas star gets arrested

Oops!

Talk about timing!

On Wednesday, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema took a shot at his counterparts in the SEC, saying that first-game suspensions weren't something his program had to deal with. Sure, this still won't result in a first-game suspension, but the timing of it is impeccable.

On Thursday morning, former Razorback star running back Jonathan Williams was arrested on suspicion of DWI in Washington County, Arkansas.

Williams was scheduled for a hearing later on Thursday.

Williams is currently signed with the Bills, but he was one of the star tailbacks for Arkansas in 2013 and 2014. He rushed for 1,190 yards in 2014, scoring 12 touchdowns to help lead the Razorbacks to their first winning season since 2011.

Granted, Williams isn't currently with the program, so this isn't Bielema's problem to deal with right now. However, considering one of his former players got popped for a DWI less than 24 hours after those comments at SEC Media Days, it's probably something the coach cannot be too happy about.
