The last five-star of 2016 just gave this Big 12 school a huge commitment

This school could very well be a tournament team now.

Shaka Smart is going into his second year as head coach of the Texas Longhorns and he's getting the season started off right with a huge commitment. He just got five-star center Jarrett Allen to commit to Texas and that might have just put this team over the top in the Big 12.

Allen will have the opportunity to start right away and get a ton of minutes with six seniors graduating from the 2015-16 squad. Connor Lammert, Prince Ibeh and Cameron Ridley are all big men who are gone, which will lead to Allen having to figure out a lot of things as a freshman next season.

Allen will join other top prospects in Andrew Jones and Jacob Young on campus for next season. Hopefully Smart can bring these guys together and handle the large amount of turnover to get the Longhorns back to NCAA Tournament glory.
