The NFL has officially gotten out of hand with their celebration fines

This is getting out of hand by the NFL.

This might be the dumbest fine of all-time by the NFL.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY TV, the NFL has fined New York Giants defensive end Owa Odighizuwa $12,154 for... pretending to take a picture.

Seriously.

I would usually make a "No Fun League" joke about this one, but this isn't that funny any more. What does the NFL hope to accomplish with this? Are they literally trying to take all fun out of the game of football?

If someone actually excessively celebrates, is okay to fine that. Excessive celebration should be rather obvious; it shouldn't be the nitpicking that the NFL and Roger Goodell have turned it into.

I'll happily await my fine from the NFL for this post. I might have actually showed some emotion in there.
