The ACC has some pretty big games for the conference in what is the first weekend of the college football season. While most teams are concerning themselves with cupcakes the first week of the season Florida State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Boston College and North Carolina will be playing some challenging opponents. Here are all the matchups you need to watch this weekend and why:
Georgia Tech vs Boston College: This is very early in the season for a conference matchup and while this looks like a "meh" matchup on paper, the game is taking place in Dublin, Ireland so that's pretty cool. It's a 7:30 a.m. game on Saturday so if you need a reason to get your day drinking going early or are actually a fan of one of these two teams —- in which case I am sorry —- then set your alarm. It could also give one team its first ACC win of the season and technically put them atop the ACC standings.

North Carolina vs Georgia: This is one of the premiere games of the weekend and it's going to give us an idea of what both teams might look like for the rest of the season. UNC is replacing quarterback Marquise Williams while Kirby Smart just announced that senior Grayson Lambert will start the game at quarterback for the Dawgs. It's taking place in the Georgia Dome as part of the Chik Fil A Kickoff and should be a heavy Georgia crowd.

Clemson vs Auburn: This is not going to be as good as most people believed after Auburn's top running Jovon Robinson was dismissed from the team, but it is a primetime game nonetheless. Clemson wants to get its championship season started off on the right foot while the SEC Tigers are hoping to win enough games this year to keep their coach. Deshaun Watson will be the best player on the field by far and Auburn will be lucky to keep the game as close as the bookies think it will be with an eight-point spread.

Florida State vs Ole Miss: This should be the best game of the Labor Day weekend and should be one of the closer games of the weekend. Ole Miss has the best quarterback in the SEC leading its attack in Chad Kelly, but he lost his top receiver in Laquon Treadwell and will have to find a new favorite target. Meanwhile, FSU's original starter in Sean Maguire likely won't play as redshirt freshman Deondre Francois will get the start and will hopefully live up to the hype he had coming out of high school.
