This goalie thought she was J.J. Watt and she will definitely get a suspension

This is just brutal.

High school soccer usually isn't as physical or violent as the pros or even college soccer, but high school goalie Cassie Sturtz was trying to play a different sport entirely. She thought she was J.J. Watt and she was going after a quarterback because she absolutely annihilated her opponent with this spear tackle.

This girl not only destroyed an offensive player, but there wasn't even a card for it! No yellow, no red and the referee just walks the goalie away from the scene. Meanwhile, the poor girl who was just trying to dribble up the field —- her name is Riley Barrett —- is lying crumpled in a heap on the pitch.

The ball might have been offsides, but how does a UFC/MMA tackle to the ground not warrant some kind of card? I suppose we can take solace in the fact that Sturtz will be suspended two games for this show of nonsensical violence against an opponent that beat her team 4-1.
