This Ohio State graduate transfer created a video application for "The Bachelorette"

This graduate transfer isn't famous (yet), but this is a good start.

"The Bachelorette" has become one of the more popular shows on television, and folks in the sports world have noticed. ABC's hit show is technically a "spin-off" of "The Bachelor", but in some ways, "The Bachelorette" has taken off in even more grandiose fashion, perhaps because of the interest generated through sports personalities during a largely dead time in the sporting calendar.

Ohio State graduate transfer tight end Chase Hounshell is one player who has taken notice of the television program and, in conjunction with Ari Wasserman of Cleveland.com, the former Notre Dame athlete is officially "applying" for inclusion. The video above comes courtesy of an interview conducted by Wasserman, and here is the money quote:

"I think 'The Bachelorette' is the perfect way to find love."

This is, of course, done with tongue firmly planted in cheek, but Hounshell's performance is outstanding. The 6th-year senior from Kirtland, Ohio has only one catch (for six yards) in his college football career, but this type of outreach could certainly help to make Hounshell a fan favorite in Columbus.

Chase Hounshell could be in the mix for legitimate playing time on a national championship contender at Ohio State, but even before the season starts, he is making a name for himself.
