Tom Brady cemented his status as the greatest quarterback of all-time after he won his fifth Super Bowl by leading the New England Patriots back from a 28-3 deficit against the Atlanta Falcons.

Brady is being honored on the cover of Madden NFL 18—which is also being called the GOAT Edition— and he was asked by ESPN's Ian O'Connor if he considers himself the greatest of all-time.
"I don't agree with that and I'll tell you why," Brady said. "I know myself as a player. I'm really a product of what I've been around, who I was coached by, what I played against, in the era I played in. I really believe if a lot of people were in my shoes they could accomplish the same kinds of things. So I've been very fortunate. ... I don't ever want to be the weak link."
Brady has surpassed Joe Montana in Super Bowl victories, and he is the only player in NFL history with five Super Bowl rings. With no other NFL player to surpass, Brady now has his sights set on Michael Jordan.
Jordan is perceived by many to be the best athlete of all-time, and he dominated the 1990s by winning six NBA titles. Another Super Bowl would tie Brady with Jordan, and he still plans to play until his mid-40s.
Brady said he is chasing ring No. 6 for his teammates, not for his own personal benefit. He told O'Connor that tying Michael Jordan and surpassing Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Derek Jeter, would have "great meaning" to him.
The Patriots are favored to win the Super Bowl next season once again and Brady will have another great chance at winning his sixth ring. If the Pats don't repeat, they'll likely be among the favorites until Brady retires or his play diminishes on the field.
If Brady plans on playing at a high level until he's 45 or beyond, then the Pats will be Super Bowl contenders for a very long time. He will be 40 by the time season starts.
