Warren McClendon is a top 25 recruit in the 2019 class and he’s a big one at that. The 6’4″, 270-pound offensive tackle has made a few trips this past winter and spring and he’s got a good idea of the schools on top of his list. He told 247Sports about them and his top six schools are nothing to sneeze at.
“Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Florida,” McClendon said when asked which schools stand out at this early point. “I talk with all of them pretty often.”
He’s already gone to Clemson, Florida and Georgia for visits and he plans on making his way up to Ohio State at some point as well. He hasn’t put a date on when he will commit and has said that he will take his time with the process. 247Sports has him ranked as the No. 3 OT in the country and No. 6 player in the state of Georgia as well as No. 25 recruit overall. The crystal ball has him as a 50-50 prospect between South Carolina and Georgia currently.
He also holds offers from LSU, Miami, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Oklahoma among others.
Here’s some of his highlights:
