Top JUCO WR decides to stay close to home, commits to rising up-and-comer

He must feel comfortable.

Stephen Guidry, the top JUCO wide receiver in the country, is making family a priority and he's decided to stay close to home by committing to LSU.

The 6'4" wideout had offers from South Carolina, Georgia, Miami, Mizzou, Alabama, Mississippi State, LSU and Oregon State, but decided to land with Matt Canada and the Tigers' rising offense.

Guidry was committed to South Carolina for less than two months before deciding to take LSU up on their offer in late May. He decommitted from the program in early October amidst the school moving on from Les Miles, but head coach Ed Orgeron must have made the speedy wideout comfortable with the team's direction.
