UNC dismantles Miami at home

That escalated quickly.

No. 5 UNC (22-5, 11-3) hosted No. 11 Miami (21-5, 10-4) in a meeting of top 15 teams and it turned into one of the biggest dismantling of a team this season. After leading by only nine at halftime, the Tar Heels outscored the Hurricanes 54-38 in the second half and shot 54 percent over the course of the game. Miami also only shot about 42 percent for the game.

UNC had five guys score in double figures led by Brice Johnson's ACC-leading 16th double-double that was a 16-point, 15-rebound box score filler. Isaiah Hicks had 12 points, Justin Jackson had 15, Joel Berry had 10 and Theo Pinson had 10 off the bench. UNC had a huge advantage on the glass with 43 boards to Miami's 29 and UNC had 10 players score in some fashion. They next play at N.C. State on Wednesday.
