North Carolina only had one commitment in the class of 2017 before three-star shooting guard Andrew Platek committed on Monday. While he might only be ranked as the No. 45 shooting guard in the class he does have a reputation as a sharpshooter and three-point marksman.
The 6'4", 190-pound shooter also held offers from Miami, Yale, Penn State, Rutgers, Miami and Indiana among many others. He should give UNC a nice perimeter presence and threat when he gets on campus next year.
