Clemson RB knocked out of game after controversial non-targeting hit

This was scary.

Wayne Gallman is easily one of Clemson's best offensive players and he rarely puts the football on the deck, but that was the case after a vicious hit from N.C. State's defense. He caught a screen pass and was taking it down the field when he got blindsided and almost knocked out from this hit:

No penalty was called on the hit.

Gallman was slow to get up after the hit and had to be taken to the medical tent for an evaluation. He was also taken back to the locker room for further evaluation, where it was determined that he would not return to the game.

Without Gallman, Clemson has struggled with N.C. State, only scoring 10 points by halftime.
