WWE Monday Night Raw: Results, recap for June 12

Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Cesaro and Sheamus in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match for the Raw Tag Team Championship ended in a 1-1 draw after a double countout in the third fall

Sheamus started with a Brogue Kick attempt on Matt Hardy, but he ducked it. Hardy weathered the storm early, and tagged Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy ran to the ropes and lifted himself as Sheamus followed and landed a Brogue Kick into the corner for the first pinfall:

Back from commercial break, Jeff Hardy was getting worked over by Sheamus before he made the hot tag to Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy hit the Twist of Fate to get their first pinfall to make it 1-1:

After back-and-forth action, Cesaro locked in the sharpshooter in the middle of the ring, but Matt Hardy got the rope break. Matt Hardy made the hot tag to Jeff Hardy as Cesaro reached Sheamus. Jeff Hardy hit the Twist of Fate in the middle of the ring, but Cesaro broke it up. Sheamus set Jeff Hardy up in the corner and missed a shoulder block, as he fell backwards, setting up the Swanton Bomb.

Jeff Hardy pinned him for the two-count before Cesaro pulled his partner outside of the ring. All hell broke loose outside the ring for a double countout, resulting in a draw.

  • Samoa Joe cut a promo backstage on Brock Lesnar.

  • Enzo caught Big Show backstage and thanked him for saving him. Enzo hinted at Big Show being the one who attacked Big Cass. Show called Cass S-A-W-F-T.

  • R-Truth hit another segment on Goldust turning on him.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson def. Enzo Amore and Big Cass

Despite being attacked backstage, Cass made his way to the ring with Enzo. Cass did work clearing the ring before staggering around and tagging in Enzo. Enzo did his best to hold off Gallows and Anderson, but the duo hit the Magic Killer for the win. As Gallows and Anderson beat down Enzo following the match, Big Show made the save. Big Cass came to as Enzo hugged Big Show in the center of the ring. It appeared WWE was teasing a split yet again.

  • After Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made their entrances, Big Cass was shown laid out backstage yet again. In the background, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson were seen sneaking behind the scenes.
  • Neville attacked Rich Swann before the match could start, locking in the Rings of Saturn. Neville then called out the Cruiserweight division, specifically Akira Tozawa.

Heath Slater and Rhyno def. The Miz and Bear

Miz came down to the ring without a partner, so the bear from last week’s celebration came to his aide. The bear gained momentum and tagged Miz in, only for the Intercontinental Champion to attack him. Miz ripped off the head of the bear and it was another no-name guy. The bear jumped back into the ring later in the match to hit Dirty Deeds on Slater. The bear ripped off his own head to show himself as Dean Ambrose. Miz tried to escape and knocked Maryse off the apron. She limped to the back, Miz took a Dirty Deeds DDT and Ambrose pulled Slater over the champ for the pinfall.

  • Corey Graves interviewed Bayley in a pre-recorded segment.

  • Finn Balor vignette aired. Michael Cole talked him up as a former champion and sure-to-be future champ.

Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Dana Brooke def. Emma, Nia Jax and Dana Brooke via submission

Emma’s return to WWE television was stifled after Alexa Bliss took off in the middle of the match as her partner attempted a tag. Banks reversed a roll-up into the Banks Statement for the win.

  • Alexa Bliss is confronted by Nia Jax, who says Mickie James and Dana Brooke are the problems, not her. James and Brooke hit the ring, followed by a returning Emma and eventually Sasha Banks, all staking their claim for the Raw Women’s Championship. Banks lays out Bliss before a commercial break.

  • Miz asked Heath Slater backstage to join his entourage and leave Rhyno. Slater said he wants a shot at the Intercontinental Championship and Miz agreed…one day. Rhyno got angry and said for Miz to find a tag partner because they’ll match up later in the show.

Apollo Crews def. Kalisto

Titus O’Neil had Akira Tozawa ringside as he’s trying to recruit him to Titus Brand. Crews pinned Kalisto and O’Neil picked up Tozawa and the three celebrated in the ring with a selfie.

  • Matt and Jeff Hardy cut a backstage promo on Cesaro and Sheamus, noting they’re ready to take back the Raw Tag Team titles.
  • Bray Wyatt cut a promo on Seth Rollins, calling him out for essentially calling the Eater of Worlds names. Rollins confronted Wyatt and called him a coward. Wyatt disappeared from the ring, only to show up on the main screen. Wyatt told Rollins to face his fears.

  • WWE teased Roman Reigns for next week, who is expected to make a “massive” announcement regarding his SummerSlam plans.

Cedric Alexander def. Noam Dar

Dar was distracted walking down the entrance ramp talking to Alicia Fox on Facetime. When he finally put down the phone, Alexander hit the Lumbar Check for the quick squash win.

  • Promo hyping up Cedric Alexander is shown. Backstage segment between Noam Dar, Alicia Fox and Alexander set up for a match after the commercial break.

  • Kurt Angle confronted Miz for interfering in Ambrose’s match. Miz complained that Angle was too focused on the “dirt” someone has on him, which the GM took offense to. Miz said Angle needed to do something after Ambrose ruined his celebration last week. The GM told Miz to deal with his problems himself.
  • Another vignette for the rebranded Goldust was shown.

Elias Samson def. Dean Ambrose

The Miz and his wife Maryse showed up at ringside and distracted the former champ, allowing The Drifter to hit a swinging neckbreaker for the win.

  • Brock Lesnar brawled with Samoa Joe following the first showdown between the Universal champ and the No. 1 contender to his title

WWE Raw June 5, 2017: Results

  • Bray Wyatt opened the show and called out the competitors from Sunday night’s Fatal 5-way bout for stealing his opportunity to fight Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire. Wyatt promised to punish all of them, and right on cue Roman Reigns came out to answer his callout.

Roman Reigns def. Bray Wyatt

Wyatt nearly hit Sister Abigail to open the bout, but Reigns escaped. After back-and-forth action, Reigns tried to hit the Superman Punch, but Wyatt countered. Reigns lines up and connects on a Superman Punch, but Wyatt rolls out of the ring before he can hit the spear. Reigns eventually connects and that’s it.

  • Backstage, Enzo Amore was seen with Big Cass and they were still trying to figure out who is attacking him.
  • Alexa Bliss was announced in a WWE Raw Women’s Championship match against Nia Jax for later in the evening.

Elias Samson vs. Dean Ambrose ends in no contest

Ambrose demanded a rematch, but Miz refused to give it to him. Samson hit his finisher from behind while Ambrose was distracted.

  • Samoa Joe called out Brock Lesnar. He said he wants the title, light schedule and Paul Heyman as his backer. Joe and Heyman dueled on the mic before Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch and choked him completely out. Monster heel move.
  • Joe was then seen backstage arguing with Raw GM Kurt Angle before Seth Rollins showed up and noted they had unfinished business.

Cesaro & Sheamus def. Heath Slater & Rhyno

Cesaro worked over Slater to open the match and it wasn’t much longer before the Tag champs made quick work, as Sheamus hit the Brogue kick for the three count.

TJP def. Mustafa Ali

TJP questions Neville backstage about a future title shot. He shows up big time, taking it to Ali aggressively. Perkins finishes Ali with the Detonation Kick. Neville comes out and attacks his former friend before saying he’ll have a title shot on 205 Live tomorrow night.

  • Goldust cuts another promo about his return to his old character.
  • Alexa Bliss tries to enlist help from other women against Jax, but no one is willing to help
  • Kurt Angle chats with Corey Graves about the dirt someone has against the Raw GM

Kalisto def. Titus O’Neil

Kalisto gets revenge on O’Neil, using a rollup to pin Titus Brand just one day after pinning Apollo Crews.

  • Backstage, Big Cass is found under some equipment, as he’s been attacked this week. He hands Enzo Amore a necklace from the attacker.
  • Miz’s Intercontinental Championship celebration is ruined after he smashes a gift from Martese when he thought Ambrose may have been hiding inside. Camera man appears after Maryse has left, and it’s Ambrose, who hits Dirty Deeds.

Big Show & Enzo Amore def. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows

Amore is forced to find a tag partner after Cass was laid out, and Show answers the call. Show hits a chokeslam on Anderson, then plays the part of Cass for the finish.

  • Another quick R-Truth promo against Goldust.

Alexa Bliss retained her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Nia Jax after a disqualification

Bliss attacks Jax momentarily before Mickie James and Dana Brooke make their way to ringside. Bliss attacks the duo, causing a disqualification, meaning she keeps her title.

  • Paul Heyman talks to Brock Lesnar, saying he needs him at Raw next week.

Samoa Joe def. Seth Rollins by TKO

Joe controls the bout until Rollins hits the slingblade and really starts rolling. He hits two dives to the outside before setting up for his finisher. Joe reverses into the Coquina Clutch, as Rollins turns it into a Broken Arrow. Bray Wyatt’s video hits, distracting Rollins. It’s just enough for Joe to lock in the Coquina Clutch, and for the third time in two nights, chokes out another competitor — this time Rollins.
