Tickets to his home games at Millard North High School in Omaha, Nebraska come at a premium. The filled student section gives you the chance to talk to Lauren from homeroom and say "Registration is pretty crazy this year, huh?"

Hunter Sallis plays with unwavering confidence. He approaches each possession methodically, patiently evaluating his point of attack.
At 6-foot-5 and 175 pounds, he dictates the pace of drives. The combo guard finishes with strength. Dunks, drawing fouls, floaters, and touch, Sallis can score diversely with either hand around the cup. His masterful mid-range game opens driving opportunities. He can stop on a dime and go right into his shot in one motion.
High-arcing with smooth form, it's a beauty to watch. His shot extends to 3-point range.
The five-star guard's scoring opens up looks for teammates. As a lead ball handler, he loves to drive to the free-throw line, attract help, and dish to a teammate down low.
The Omaha, Neb. native attacks the offensive glass. He's adept at reading misses and finishing put backs. Defensively, his length and athleticism create problems for opposing players. His natural instincts combined with active hands allow him to disrupt ball handlers. He's capable of meeting offensive players at the rim in transition, too.
He's drawn comparison's to Iowa State's Tyrese Haliburton, who's lauded as one of the more complete players in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Hunter Sallis is the sixth-ranked player in the 2021 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. ESPN ranks him 13th. Rivals ranks him seventh.
He fielded college basketball scholarship offers from blue bloods Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas and UCLA; as well as Gonzaga, Creighton, Iowa State, Oregon, Nebraska, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, California, Colorado, Florida State, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Wisconsin.

In November 2020, Sallis cut his list down to Kentucky, Gonzaga, Kansas, Creighton, North Carolina, Iowa State, UCLA, and Oregon. 247Sports' Crystal Ball predicted he would choose to play for head coach John Calipari at UK.
The point guard had only taken an official visit to Gonzaga before naming his finalists and wanted to take his time in finalizing a college decision.
"Right now I am going to wait until the spring to sign so I can take a few more visits," [Sallis said of his timeline to NebPreps' Mike Sautter]. "I'd like to get the opportunity to visits some campuses and make sure I'm making the right decision."
Then, in March 2021, he announced where he will play next season.

As if a deep run in the 2021 NCAA Tournament wasn't sweet enough, the Gonzaga Bulldogs will add five-star basketball recruit Hunter Sallis to the roster next season.
Sallis, a McDonald's All-American, committed to the Zags on March 26, 2021.
There's no doubt Sallis will soon take college basketball by storm.
