North Carolina won the National Championship this past season and they did it without one of their spot up shooters in Kenny Williams. He was injured in practice in February and missed the rest of the season after undergoing surgery. However, he has been cleared to resume basketball activities according to FanRag Sports.
Williams will join Joel Berry II, Brandon Robinson, Cameron Johnson and Seventh Woods in the backcourt for the Tar Heels this season as they try to repeat as national champs. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard started 22 games last season for the Tar Heels. He averaged 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in 23.7 minutes of action, shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from 3-point range.
UNC starts it season on Oct. 27 with an exhibition game against Barton College and then starts the regular with a tilt against Northern Iowa on Nov. 10.
