Kentucky starting guard day-to-day after suffering elbow injury

Tyler Ulis earned the starting point guard spot this year after playing behind the Harrison twins last year and he has shined brightly so far this season. He’s been averaging 14.2 points and 4.8 assists per game, but didn’t play in the second half against USF on Friday in the Hoophall Miami Invitational.

Ulis dove for a loose ball and came up with a hyperextended elbow. He finished the 84-63 win with eight points, two steals, two assists, and two rebounds. Ulis is considered day-to-day and coach Calipari said he is in a sling for now. The Wildcats next host Illinois State on Monday.
