Florida State decommit Israel Mukuamu has found a new school

Mukuamu decommitted from FSU at the end of November.

Just two weeks after decommitting from Florida State, three-star safety Israel Mukuamu (6-foot-5, 187 pounds, Bossier City, La.) has already found a new school.

On Saturday, Mukuamu announced that he had committed to South Carolina.

I would like to thank God for all the blessings that he has put upon me. I also would like to thank my family and support system for supporting me throughout this whole recruiting process. I would say more but... I only have three words to say "I"M COMING HOME"!!! I am officially 1000% committed to the University of SOUTH CAROLINA!!!!

While Mukuamu currently lives in Louisiana, he is a South Carolina native, and that appears to have been a big factor in his flip. One of the other major factors was the coaching strife at Florida State, as Mukuamu initially decommitted from the Seminoles when the rumors first broke that Jimbo Fisher could be heading to Texas A&M.

With Mukuamu on board, South Carolina now has 19 commitments for their 2018 recruiting class. That class currently ranks 21st in the nation at 247Sports.
