ESPN's best QB of the week is from this usual NFC cellar dweller

He was ballin' out there!

ESPN named its best quarterbacks from the past week and it will probably surprise you to find out who the No.1 man was for Week 1's games. It wasn't Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, Aaron Rodgers or even Matthew Stafford. Instead, it was 2015's top overall pick in Jameis Winston for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Winston not only led his team to a 31-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons who had won their eight previous home openers, but did it with an amazing performance. He had four touchdowns against one interception and threw for 281 yards while completing about 70 percent of his passes. That gave him a passer rating of 122.6 and a QB rating of 90.3, which was the highest in Week 1 games played (so far).

That put him at the top of ESPN's rankings for Week 1 ahead of Stafford and Luck who both threw for over 300 yards and no interceptions. The Bucs travel to play a much tougher Arizona Cardinals defense next week so we will have to see if Winston can give us a repeat performance and get some more recognition in Week 2.
