Wake Forest is really, really bad on offense

Florida State needs to lay the hammer down on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons tomorrow in the Doak. The Demon Deacons are awful on offense. Here are the stats that prove that:

Out of 128 FBS schools, Wake Forest ranks 128th in rushing offense. The Demon Deacons are averaging 29 (!) yards per game on the ground. SMU, 127th place, is averaging 14 yards more on the ground per game. They’re averaging a little over one yard per carry. I feel like if I had a huge offensive line blocking for me that I could get more than one yard per play. They also only have one rushing TD on the season. Imagine if you were a Wake Forest fan. How miserable would you be?

Out of 128 FBS schools, Wake Forest ranks 124th in interceptions thrown. Wake QB John Wolford has thrown 10 INTs this season. He is also averaging 5.1 yards per attempt. He’s so bad in that category that you can’t even see what place he is in as far as all QBs in the nation are concerned. Wake ranks 116th in passer rating with a 105.68 rating. To put it bluntly, they suck.

Out of 128 FBS schools, Wake Forest ranks 116th in the nation in points scored. The Demon Deacons don’t put up points in bunches, to say the least. They are averaging 18.2 points per game. That has to be dreadful to watch. They only have 10 touchdowns this season!!! FSU had eight TDs in one game last week!

Out of 128 FBS schools, Wake Forest is one of the worst schools in the nation. The Demon Deacons are a joke of a team. They will get a beating tomorrow. There is no doubt about it.

(All stats come from cfbstats)

Wake Forest and Florida State kickoff in Tallahassee tomorrow at 3:30.
