Report: Larry Fedora has agreed to a new longterm deal with North Carolina

You can cross Larry Fedora off your list of potential head coaching candidates, according to this new report. Joe Schad of ESPN is reporting on Saturday afternoon that Fedora and North Carolina have agreed to a new, seven-year deal that would keep him in Chapel Hill until at least 2022.

Fedora and UNC agreeing seven-year deals, although it seems high and unusual for a contract, is nothing new. When Fedora was hired by UNC in 2011 he agreed to a seven-year contract that would give him $1.7 million per season. He currently is making $1.8 million per season according to 247Sports.

Fedora and his Tar Heels are taking on the No. 1 ranked Clemson Tigers on Saturday night for an ACC Title in Charlotte, N.C. Fedora, who is  53 years old, has a 32-18 record in four seasons at North Carolina.
