Kansas gets top 10 win at the Phog over West Virginia

Kansas is halfway done with its most brutal week of the season.

No. 6 Kansas (20-4, 8-3) hosted the No. 10 Mountaineers of West Virginia (19-5, 8-3) at Phog Allen Fieldhouse and predictably came out with a 75-65 win. The Jayhawks had five players in double figures led by Perry Ellis' 21 points. Frank Mason chipped in 14 points, Wayne Selden had 11, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and Devonte' Graham both had 10 points as well. Landen Lucas had nine points, but pulled down a crazy 16 boards for the Jayhawks.

Kansas beat West Virginia on the boards by a difference of five and had eight blocks on the night. Kansas also kept WVU to a 37 percent shooting clip and only allowed them to make a quarter of their three-pointers. Kansas next plays No. 3 Oklahoma on Saturday in Norman and everyone is hoping it ends up like the triple overtime thriller from last time.
