Tennessee headed to Jacksonville for the Tax Slayer Bowl

Tennessee (6-6) is headed to its first bowl berth since 2010 and the Vols get to do it in sunny Florida for the holidays. The game will be against Iowa (7-5) on January 2nd. Tennessee needed a last game win against Vanderbilt to become bowl eligible while Iowa got off to a hot start and ended up cooling off in the second half of the season. It will be a good chance to see what the Vols can do with all of their guys healthy and having gotten some much needed rest after a season with no depth and lots of snaps. It is the first time the two teams have played each other in football since 1987.
