Texas A&M headed to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl against West Virginia

Texas A&M has its bowl assignment and they will be in Memphis, Tennessee on Dec. 29 to face off with West Virginia. Many were hoping that the Aggies would be in the Texas Bowl to face off with the Texas, but the Longhorns will play Arkansas instead.

The Aggies have never faced the Mountaineers, so this will be the first ever matchup between the two schools. It will also be the first game for Kevin Sumlin against former assistant coach Dana Holgerson, who is now the West Virginia head coach.

This bowl matchup figures to be a shootout as Texas A&M averaged 34.4 points per game this season and West Virginia averaged 33.2 points per game. Both offenses will put the ball up in the air and this game could come down to which quarterback — Clint Trickett of WVU or Kyle Allen of Texas A&M — have the better performance.
