Central Michigan pulls of one of the greatest final desperation plays ever

The Popeyes Bahamas Bowl was dominated by Western Kentucky for the first three quarters, but a furious comeback at the end by Central Michigan had the Chippewas down just seven with one second left and the ball on the 20. That was when they just heaved up a prayer and made one of the most incredible plays you’ll ever see.

No. 88 for the Chippewas makes an incredible, clean catch and then is smart enough to lateral it back as he’s being dragged down. After two more laterals, No. 84 streaks to the corner of the endzone where he is able to just stretch the ball out to the pylon for the touchdown. Central Michigan went for the win on the next play rather than playing for overtime, and failed to convert on a fade route giving Western Michigan a 49-48 win — and ruin anyone’s day that thought WKU -3.5 was safe.
