The Associated Press announced their Player of the Year on Tuesday and the winner was Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey.

McCaffrey caught the college football world by storm this season, breaking Barry Sanders’ record for all-purpose yards in the season. McCaffrey was second behind Derrick Henry in both total rushing yards this season and in the Heisman Trophy voting.

McCaffrey will get a chance to add to his stats in the Rose Bowl, as Stanford takes on Iowa on New Year’s Day.
