Suspended Florida CB Jalen Tabor gives money and new shoes to homeless man

You gotta love hearing things like this.

Florida head coach Jim McElwain announced earlier this week that cornerback Jalen Tabor and tight end C'yontai Lewis would be suspended for the season opener against UMass. It was later reported that the suspension resulted from a fight that broke out between the two. On Sunday, it was reported that Tabor, who is one of Florida's starting cornerbacks, gave some cash and a new pair of shoes to a homeless man he saw in Gainesville, Fla.

Tabor, according to the Associated Press, shared video of what happened on Periscope .

Tabor stopped at an abandoned convenience store near campus and gave the man $22 and a some blue camouflage Adidas sneakers. Tabor said via the AP: "I've got you. Keep doing your thing, man." The man responded: "Thank you, man. God bless."

On Saturday he told the homeless: "I'll be back to give you a couple dollars, some more dollars, around a week, every Friday. I got you. Get you some new pair of clothes and all that."

McElwain announced later following his suspension that Tabor would return to practice next week, but would remain suspended for the opener.
