Former Gator who said his career would've been better elsewhere has been arrested

He's facing two felonies.

According to Gainesville Police, former Florida player Daniel McMillian was arrested on Thursday for attempted sexual battery and false imprisonment — both felonies.

According to the police report, a woman came over to McMillian's apartment on Tuesday in a professional capacity when McMillian allegedly locked the woman in a room, exposed himself, and grabbed the victim. The victim then allegedly kicked McMillian and was able to get away before contacting police.

McMillian was booked at 7:14 p.m. on Thursday.

McMillian, a linebacker, played at Florida for four seasons, with his best year coming in 2016, where he recorded 29 total tackles. More famously, McMillian caused controversy last year with a since deleted tweet where he claimed he would have been better off if he had never gone to Florida.

McMillian is a former four-star of the 2013 class, where he was ranked as a Top 100 overall recruit. He originally chose Florida over Alabama and Ohio State, among others.
