Former coach has a wild prediction for No. 25 Tennessee's season-opener

Now that is a BOLD pick!

Well... that is a bold pick.

As part of a segment with the SEC Network on Thursday, former Auburn coach Gene Chizik was asked to give a bold prediction for the upcoming games in Week 1. Chizik gave a bit of a doozy as his answer, saying that No. 25 Tennessee will lose by "double-digits" to Georgia Tech on Monday in Atlanta.

Chizik predicted all three ACC-SEC matchups this weekend to be double-digit games, but picking Georgia Tech here as the underdog might be the most interesting pick here. Both teams are reeling a bit in recent weeks, as Tennessee is already down two starters and Georgia Tech just dismissed starting running back Dedrick Mills after a third violation of team rules in under a year.

The one thing working in Georgia Tech's favor? They are 5-1 in their last six games against SEC opponents, including a 3-0 record last season against the SEC East by beating Vanderbilt, Georgia, and Kentucky in out-of-conference games. If things go according to Chizik's, it looks like the Yellow Jackets may be able to make it a four-game win streak.
