It is Ohio State week and this hype video is all Michigan fans will need to get fired up

“Yes, sir. It’s finally here.”

Those are the words echoed within the first few moments of the video above, as the annual battle between the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes is upon us. Fans on either side of the proverbial “aisle” won’t actually need additional motivation in order to get fired up for “The Game”, but this video does a phenomenal job of generating excitement for Michigan supporters.

The video has it all, from shots of Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes backed up by shots of current coaches Jim Harbaugh and Urban Meyer. For the uninitiated, there is also a quick homage to the epic slap-fight between Charles Woodson and David Boston, and in fitting fashion, a “hello, Heisman!” compilation of Woodson and Desmond Howard taking kicks to the house against the Buckeyes.

In terms of the standings, the stakes for the 2015 contest aren’t as simple as some would like, with the winner needing some help from Penn State in order to reach the Big Ten Championship Game. However, no one from Michigan or Ohio State will be downtrodden if a victory “only” represents bragging rights for the next 365 days, and it will be nice to see a more competitive Michigan team than in recent years.

The countdown to kick-off is on.
