CFB's most explosive player per NFL.com isn't named Leonard Fournette

There may be some LSU fans who disagree with this.

It's the college football offseason, and like always, it's a time for preseason opinions. Chase Goodbread, who provides NFL.com with all of their college football content, recently ranked the biggest "home run threats" in the country — specifically using running backs and receivers who can make huge plays from anywhere on the field. The list of 16 has names you definitely recognize —Texas A&M's Christian Kirk, Stanford's Christian McCaffrey and Alabama's Calvin Ridley.

No. 1 and 2 in Goodbread's Top 16 were running backs Dalvin Cook of Florida State and Leonard Fournette —Fournette checking in at 2 and Cook 1. Here's what he had to say about putting Cook at No. 1.

"Cook gives the Seminoles an exciting big-play threat with quick feet, exceptional vision and the speed to beat defensive backs in a foot race." Goodbread writes." Cook's average of 7.38 yards per carry led all backs from Power Five conferences, and he tied for first in the country in rushes of 20-plus yards (22), 30-plus (13), 50-plus (6) and 70-plus (4). NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah described Cook with "home-run ability" who "destroys pursuit angles..."

According to Odds Shark, Fournette had 4/1 odds to win the Heisman Trophy in December, with Cook sitting with 12/1.
