Ohio State DE Joey Bosa reportedly detained by police on Saturday

Rumors circulated on Saturday night that Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa had been arrested by the Columbus Police Department.

Rumors circulated on Saturday night that Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa had been arrested by the Columbus Police Department. The rumor was amplified with pictures like this one floating around Twitter.

However, newer stories on Sunday suggest that Bosa was neither charged nor arrested for anything on Saturday night, but was detained briefly by police. The police were reportedly investigating a fight in the area and that Bosa was not involved, but could have been a witness.

Bosa has had quite a summer so far, as he has already been suspended for the team's season opener against Virginia Tech. Head coach Urban Meyer called the suspension a "violation of team policies", but it has been reported that Bosa — and three other teammates — were suspended for marijuana and academic issues.

Ohio State cannot afford for Bosa to be in trouble, as he is arguably the best player in the nation, regardless of position. Bosa is expected to be a top three pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
