Ole Miss’ leading tackler in ICU for unknown reason

Ole Miss linebacker and leading tackler Denzel Nkemdiche is reportedly in the ICU and has been hospitalized since Monday, according to The site also reported that Nkemdiche was conscious as of Wednesday night.

Shockingly, head coach Hugh Freeze called Nkemdiche “questionable” for Saturday’s game against LSU, saying that Nkemdiche is dealing with a personal matter.

Nkemdiche is Ole Miss’ leading tackler with 53 tackles, 6.5 of which are for a loss. Denzel’s younger brother, defensive tackle Robert, is one of the best players in college football, and the two have been cornerstones to the Rebels’ top tier defense over the past few years.
