UPDATE: Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network has confirmed that it is Denzel Nkemdiche who has been hospitalized, and not Robert.
WAPT-TV in Jackson, Ms., reported earlier that university officials would not disclose which brother it was. The school also told the station that Denzel, the eldest brother, is no longer with the team and is under his father’s supervision. Denzel was hospitalized in the ICU just last month, and hasn’t played for the Rebels since.
The most recent hospitalization comes just two days after the youngest brother Robert was announced to be suspended for the Rebels’ Sugar Bowl game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Jan. 1, and that he would be declaring for the 2016 NFL Draft. Robert was charged with possession of marijuana eight days ago following an incident in which he fell from a fourth story hotel window in Atlanta, Ga. over the weekend prior.
We will continue to update this situation as more information comes about.
