New Oregon coach confirms that jerseys will take a surprise twist in 2017

Uh oh...

Oregon has been more known for its crazy uniform combinations than anything else recently even though the Ducks have been to two national title games since 2010. It looks like the crazy combos could be coming to an end or at least be seen a whole lot less this season as coach Willie Taggart has confirmed that the team will cut back on uniform combinations as well as go for a more "traditional" look.

"We're not going to have 12," Taggart said at Pac-12 Media Days. "We're going to cut back. We're going to be sharp. But you won't see as many different combinations. We want to play football. Those uniforms are really nice when you have a really good football team."

It sounds like he is leaving the door open for more uniform combinations though in the future assuming the team wins more than last season's four games. If the team picks up some more wins and gets back to being a powerhouse in the Pac 12, then perhaps everyone's favorite uniform combinations will come back as well.

For reference, the Ducks have worn 51 different jersey and 24 different helmets since 1997, according to OregonLive.com.
