Alabama assistant to leave team due to recruiting violation allegations

Is there anyone who thought Alabama was squeaky clean?

The Tuscaloosa News has learned that Alabama assistant coach Bo Davis is set to leave the program because of recruiting violation allegations. Alabama has been conducting an internal investigation and the NCAA has also made inquiries into the matter.

Davis' contract at Alabama runs through 2017 at a salary of $475,000 per year after receiving a one-year extension and a $25,000-per-year raise last June. Davis knows Saban from his time with the Miami Dolphins where he was the defensive line coach —- the same position he holds now for Bama.

He came with Saban to Tuscaloosa in 2007 and stayed through 2010 until he took the same job at Texas. He came back to Alabama in 2014 to lead the defensive line and lead it well. It was one of the best in 2015 and he nabbed the top DL recruit in the classs of 2014, Da'Shawn Hand.
