Alabama's Eddie Jackson has made a decision regarding the 2016 NFL Draft

Eddie Jackson led the Crimson tide with six interceptions on the year.

On Thursday morning, Alabama's star defensive back Eddie Jackson announced his decision on whether or not he would forgo his senior season and declare for this year's NFL Draft. Crimson Tide fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as the junior said via his Twitter account that he would be sticking around Tuscaloosa for one more year.

Jackson, who is a dream defensive back for any NFL scout, given his ability to play both safety and cornerback effectively, led Alabama with six interceptions this past season. He had one during the second quarter of Monday night's national title game as well. Jackson, on his six picks returned them for 230 yards, which was good for an Alabama school record.

The rest of head coach Nick Saban's draft-eligible players have until Monday, Jan. 18, to file their paperwork with the league.
