Alabama got a big scare from a big-time DL in gimme game against Louisiana-Monroe

In a 34-0 beat down of Louisiana-Monroe, all might have seemed perfect on the field for Alabama, but the team actually suffered quite a scare in the second quarter when defensive tackle standout Jonathan Allen went down with a shoulder injury.

Luckily the injury doesn’t appear to be serious for a team that can’t afford to lose their All-SEC defensive lineman with a scheduled trip to No. 7 Georgia coming up next Saturday.

“It’ll be day-to-day,” coach Nick Saban told reporters after the game. “He has hurt this before, had the same problem before, and he’s been able to come back pretty quickly.”

So far this season Jonathan Allen has three recorded sacks as he continues to assert his dominance in his junior season.
