Amari Cooper broke a pair of SEC records in the conference championship game

Amari Cooper has been Alabama’s go-to receiver all season and he showed out yet again Saturday with 12 receptions for 83 yards in the Tide’s 42-13 win over Missouri in the SEC Championship game.

After entering the game with 103 catches on the season, Cooper’s total in the title game gave him the SEC record in receptions for a single season, passing Vanderbilt’s Jordan Matthews, who previously held it with 112.

Cooper also notched the SEC Championship game record for receptions, passing Florida’s Reidel Anthony, who held it previously with 11.
